St. Gallen, Switzerland
About Me
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of St. Gallen's Institute of Responsible Innovation, specializing in organizational theory, grand societal challenges, entrepreneurship, and innovation. My current research involves leading a project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, utilizing satellite data to explore informal entrepreneurship in Indian slums. I have been honored with the GFF International Postdoctoral Fellowship. Additionally, I am the lead or co-author on several manuscripts aimed at top-tier journals. These include two articles published in Sloan Management Review and one article, my job market paper, that is under revise and resubmit at the Journal of Management Studies.
Previously, I completed my Ph.D. in Management at the University of St. Gallen, where I achieved a GPA of 5.7/6.0. My research at this time focused on understanding the socio-economic impacts of COVID-19 through innovative methods, including remote sensing data and analysis of collective emotions, which garnered the University of St. Gallen Impact Award in 2021. I also developed several open-source GIS libraries written in Julia, to process and analyze geospatial data from various satellite sources.
I have presented my work at several academic conferences, including the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, Strategic Management Society, and Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, where an earlier draft of my job market paper was selected for the Frontiers of Entrepreneurship. I have also served as an ad-hoc reviewer for the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, Business & Society, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, and the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference.
